Philosophy

Over the years I gained the conviction that the aesthetic rendition of an object is given by his functionality rather than his decorations. The aesthetic is intrinsically linked to the laws of nature that determine the shape, intended as a consequence of the use; changing the form of an object may change his functional performance.

Many times I have had the opportunity to think about forms, that being pleasant to the eye, allowed a better yield, higher utility, and something more than a different form. An example may clarify this concept: the alembic consists essentially of three parts: the boiler, the lid and the refrigerant. Expanding the shape of the cover can obtain a better shape of the object and at the same time a better quality of grappa, because this improvement of the form promotes a greater dephelgmation.
