Philosophy

Some studies about the aesthetics applied to craftsmanship in this direction

  • The Weavers of Isili: practical and aesthetic, 2005;
and base their work on the research of other anthropologists and philosophers such as Gell A. and A. Leroi-Gourhan.

The crafted object itself has its own charm when compared with modern mechanical production because it is unique, it communicates emotions and owning it conveys a sense of fulfillment not comparable with an industrial product. This argument is even more valid for the copper objects which over the centuries have played as status symbols.
