Isili's copper history

At least until the early centuries of the second millennium things have not changed much. Something new happened during the period of the penetrations in Sardinia by Pisa and Genoa with the arrival of numerous bearers of the new monastic orders, bringing innnovations in agricultural techniques and in the various activities carried out in the various villages of the island.
If the Judicial Period has seen the island re-borning after the long abandoned and complicated centuries of the Byzantine period; the Aragonese domination first and then the Spanish one brought back the island to starvation and economic-historic marginalization.
Excluding the cities of Cagliari and Sassari, and in part Iglesias, Oristano and Alghero, the remaining territory of the island experienced a long period of poverty and depopulation which suggests a drastic restriction, if not a cessation of trade and craft activities.
