Isili's copper history

On Gadoni the notation becomes more interesting, even for the fact that in that country there is a mine, Funtana Raminosa, which is cultivated as early as the seventh century BC and later in the Roman period. In the modern era there were excavations during the Spanish period (1517 ) and in 1886 there was the rediscovery and subsequent cultivation of the mine until its closure in 1983. Gadoni On his father Angi writes:

"In the minor arts there are ferrari, and coppersmiths. These last, since they use seuesi imitating the wanderers of Calabria, go in the other regions to find work, so they are to called by some travelers, carrying on the backs of their horses the products of the country."

We find in Canalis some interesting notations concerning the ports of Alghero and Siniscola, in which arrive various woods, worked and raw copper. Siniscola:

"the goods coming from Genoa are: ordinary earthenware, locust, chestnut, iron, copper."

There is no mention of the presence of coppersmiths in Isili, but we speak generically of fifty mechanical, and thirty retailers and travelers.
